EMMA and unusual behaviour…

The strange fascination with EMMA…

Positive feedback continues to roll in from satisfied EMMA owners, which reminds us of how, over the years, EMMA has become an ongoing source of fascination for many owners.

Our first UK customer used to ask friends over to his house to watch the neon light on his immersion heater go off when he plugged in the kettle. Early versions of EMMA didn’t display any data so the immersion heater light was a good indicator of where EMMA was sending electricity!

Another customer fitted their EMMA in the hall in place of a mirror so that they could show their EMMA off to visitors. They talked about holding EMMA tea parties. Another owner worried his neighbours terribly by dashing out to read his import-export meter repeatedly during the first week or so.

One customer even brought his wife down from a bath to look at data that EMMA was recording on his laptop screen!

All strange but true. One recent customer may have helped explain part of EMMA’s appeal, “Back in the 1970s, I taught courses on Energy Studies and my first-ever contact with computers was doing a dissertation about using computers for energy work. Back then EMMA and its potential would have seemed very H.G.Wells.”

EMMA may indeed have a science fiction ring to it, but it actually works very simply, logically and practically – to save you money, reduce your carbon footprint and get you the best return from your renewable generator – and this is how: the science bit, but in plain English:

ELITE Control

The ELITE is the latest addition to the EMMA product family. While we consider it to be the Elite of power diversion and monitoring it is in fact EMMA's little sibling or as we call it EMMA lite.

EMMA with Export Control

EMMA with EC allows for installs to have a greater renewable output than the Max Export Capacity (MEC) on site by diverting excess energy to heat.
